My main services

Relationship Counselling: Couple

When you come in as a couple, we will first explore what it is you would like to work on, what your home situation is and if I'm the right person to help. This would be the initial assessment.

The sessions afterwards would either be with both partners or

with just one of the partners . In the joint sessions we would be working on the agreed subjects, such as communication or intimacy. In the sessions with one of the partners we would be exploring individual subjects which might be affecting the relationship, such as attachment style or previous relationship experiences.

Relationship Counselling: Individual

As an individual, in a relationship or single, we could work on whatever you would like to explore related to your relationships. The subject of the session could be to explore previous attractions to avoid certain experiences from repeating. It could also be improving your communication style to connect with your partner better.

Neurodivergence in relationships

It can be difficult to have a relationship with somepne  who has been diagnosed with a neurodivergent condition. Sometimes a lack of knowledge can make the interaction tiring, confusing or disappointing for both sides. Those who have been diagnosed, by and large simply have a different way of interpreting, understanding and interacting with the world.
I have developed my own way of helping others to understand and interact pleasantly with people who have been diagnosed with a neurodivergent condition.

Assessments and explorations

Sometimes all you need is an assessment to get the right help from other services.
These assessments can usually be done in a single session after completing a questionnaire beforehand.

Trauma explorations can be more tricky and can take a few sessions to determine if there is a trauma at the core of certain behaviour. An example can be suppressed childhood trauma.
In the sessions, the goal would be to determine if there is a trauma and referral to a specialised trauma psychotherapist.
